LuxSci's High Volume Outbound Email Interspire setup

One of Luxsci's many services is High Volume outbound email. Here I will walk you through the steps of setting up Interspire's Email Marketer, a web application that can be used with your High Volume Outbound Email account. Log in to your Interspire administrator console. Interspire gives you a branding option so you have the option to see your company's logo instead of the Interspire logo. Here is an example of branding. You can now go to the settings drop down menu. From there select "Email Settings". Scroll Down to "Mail Server Details". Check "Let me specify my own SMTP server details". Under SMTP Hostname put the name of the SMTP server assigned to you. In this example we will use "SMPT-18.luxsci.com" For SMTP Username use your luxhv user name. Then add your SMTP Password. Under SMTP port, the available ports are 25, 80, 2025, and 6025. If you would like to connect to LuxSci's servers over SSL you add special syntax, SSL://smtp-18.luxsci.com. Then you can use one of the following ports: 465, 6465. You can now send a test email. Add an email address to send a test email to. This can be any email address you have access to. Now press the "Test SMTP Settings" button. Note that the"From Address' used in the test message is taken from contact email address field for the user you are logged in as. If you get an error message as shown, this means the user's contact email address is not an approved 'From Address' in your LuxSci account. Make sure that the Interspire user's contact email address is an approved From Address. To varify your Interspire user's contact email address, go to the "users and groups" drop down menu. And select "View User Accounts". Then select "Edit" Make sure that the Email Address is an approved address. Once varified remeber to save your settings. Go back to Email Settings. Add the address you wish to send a test email to, then press "Test SMTP Settings". If successful you will see a message showing that it was delivered successfully. If it was not sent correctly it will give you a probable cause as to why it didn't go through. Check your settings and try again. Once successful remember to save your settings. You can now send your mail campaigns with Interspire through your LuxSci account. If you would like to send an "Email Campaign" Select the "Email Campaign" drop down menu. Then select "Send an Email Campaign". You can now select one or more contact lists from the menu. Now click "Next". Fill out the "Email Campaign Settings" box. When complete click "Next". You are now ready to send an email campaign. Click "Send My Email Campaign Now". Click "OK". You will see the progress of your email campaign sending. Once complete you can return to the home page. If you are running into any problems there are a couple additional things to remember. The from and reply to addresses must be approved before they will be allowed through. This means the user's contact email address is not an approved 'From Address' in your LuxSci account. Make sure that the Interspire user's contact email address is an approved From Address.
